2015 Ford C-Max Design
Ford promises a refreshed model brings more newspapers than the new generation of competition and the C-Max follows the same strategy as the recently launched refreshed Focus. This is not surprising when you consider that the two models share a platform and most of the mechanics, but it did not change when they introduced the current generation in 2014. The biggest changes can be observed in the form of the front part, which has new bumpers and headlamps, as in the past, they are very similar to the Focus. The last part has also received significant changes and we conclude that it looks more premium compared to its predecessor. There are also new colors and a greater choice of aluminum wheels with which Ford hopes to attract customers who have in the past mainly driven premium vehicles. Stefan Lamm, Ford’s design director for the European market, says that these changes give the C-Max is much more modern design, and even small changes can be large enough that customers notice the difference.

As in the past, the supply of power to the European market starts with a pair of well-known 1.0L EcoBoost three-cylinder engine of 99 horsepower and 123 horsepower. For lovers of gasoline to a few new 1.5L EcoBoost engine with 148 horsepower and 178 horsepower, which replaces the previous 1.6L EcoBoost engines. The current 1.6L TDCi diesel is interchangeable with modern 1.5L TDCi diesel of 94 hp and 113 hp, while the new 2.0L TDCi diesel develops 148 horsepower and 168 horsepower. Other mechanical changes also apply to the modified suspension and larger brakes. As in the past, the C-Max will be sold in North America, where it will be available only as a hybrid with a 2.5L engine and the electric car with a 2.0L engine.
All these changes will be available on the larger Grand C-Max, which provides a slightly larger trunk, and it is available only to European buyers. Refreshed C-Max start selling early next year, and the price was not supposed to be changed significantly. If the C-Max shows as good as the Focus, there is no doubt that it will continue to be one of the leaders in its class.
